A month ago I spoke about photo shoots that capture a certain moment. Where you come to a realization that it is one of the prettiest things you would ever see. Furthermore, imagine yourself being that person in alternate universe. This is a photo shoot done by Harper’s Bazaar in 2007 it shows Gisele Bündchen wearing Chanel Haute Couture.
As much as I have previously spoken about the Chanel Spring 2013 show, I just realized that I haven’t t spoken about the Lego inspired bags. Karl Lagerfeld is at it again. I was watching a documentary about Valentino the other day and Karl whispers in his ear and tells him ” compared to us, the rest are making rags”. Many people including me beg to differ but something made me realize how powerful they both are in the industry and how the revolutionized it to what it is today. While growing up I rarely saw men wearing bow ties, unless they wore tuxedos. But as time passed and a newer generation emerged which tried to redefine casual suits. Bow ties reappeared and became somewhat of a statement. I embraced this trend about a year ago and now I can never miss a chance where I can wear one. I came across this bow tie by Tiemension which I love! It reads futuristic and sharp but there is one thing about it, it is made out of plastic! It somehow looks like what Darth Vader would wear with his tuxedo!

Today I realized that I haven’t spoken about my search for my new pair of eyeglasses.Well a few weeks ago I had blurry vision and constant headaches. So I decided to go visit an eye doctor and as I expected, he informed me that my vision has changed. That’s where my journey to find a new pair of eyeglasses began. I went to numerous stores to find the perfect pair, I wanted them to be a statement and push boundaries while also being professional! So after a long and extensive search I came across the perfect pair, these unisex red framed eyeglasses by Chanel. I realized the were the perfect balance between being a statement and being professional.

As I have mentioned before I believe a woman’s handbag can make or break the outfit. You want the handbag to be subtle enough not to take away from the outfit but you also want it to speak volumes. The Sicily Soft by Dolce & Gabbana is one of my favorite handbags, the ability of a classic design to reemerge as an iconic and modern bag amazes me. The Sicily Soft comes in black as well as white, but I chose to show the white – although it has many disadvantages, such as getting dirty quickly- but it somehow screams purity.

How many men can pull off a red coat? Well if you are in the market for a red coat-I previously spoke about the Louis Vuitton coat that I fell in love with- my second most favorite red coat is this by Prada, I love the print on it, the collar and the brooch.

Celebrating its 175th anniversary Tiffany & Co. created this new form of precious metal called RUBEDO. There have been many discussions surrounding the making and categorization of that metal. Nevertheless, they carry a must have bracelet, it is iconic as well as defying time where it would never go out of style.

I have always been fascinated by the idea of sunglasses by how it conceals our faces and how we channel our own personalities by the frames we choose to wear. I found a pair of sunglasses by Thom Browne, which reminded me of the goggles pilots used to wear to fly an open cockpit airplane.

I have mentioned quite a few times how much I love jackets and coats well here is another one! This time its by Alexander McQueen. What I love about it is its simplicity and the integration of the colors grey, black, and brown which makes it easier to wear with anything from your closet.

So thanks to hurricane Sandy I have quite some free time on my hand. So today I decided to try something new, to actually put an outfit together! So this is a trial to see how everyone reacts to it! I built the outfit around the jacket, I was inspired by it and how much of a statement piece it is! I chose a clutch to go with the outfit because a large bag would take away from the look.
