Elvira ‘t Hart created an avant garde collection that will give the impression that the piece has been drawn or sketched on the wearer. She achieved these looks by laser-cutting leather and attaching it to a white fabric. The first two pictures I have posted show her sketches and how she wanted the garments to look like, the other pictures show the actual collection. Take a look at the collection:

This collection by Cartier backs the idea that a watch is now considered a piece of jewelry, it no longer just serves the sole purpose of knowing time, but it has evolved over the years. This collection plays around with the idea that the watch can transform into a ring, pendent, brooch, necklace, cuff and a tiara. Prêt-à-Porter fashion shows will be starting in the few upcoming days. In the meanwhile lets look at things that we could obsess about. Today I came across this David Yurman Haute Joaillerie necklace, it is made out of diamonds and emeralds. I can just imagine how breathtaking it would be on any woman that puts it on.
In this collection you can notice that some of the designs distort the hips, I love the concept and Idea behind it, but such a design would not appeal to a woman with curves as it will enlarge her figure. This guy is pure genius, I still can’t decide which collection is better, the couture collection or this collection. (Click here for the couture collection) Take a look at my favorite pieces, I seriously drooled while looking at the collection. My favorite pieces in this collection are the long dresses. Below you will find my favorite pieces from the collection, but by far what I love the most were the cape dresses, I also loved the pipping and detailing on the white dresses. I have mentioned yesterday about how capes are this season’s “it” piece, here is another designer that included capes in his collection, so keep an eye on them when shopping. Enjoy!

I liked Zuhair Murad’s collection due to it’s limited pallet as well as the detailing on the dresses. We have recently seen many cloaks come down the runways, therefore, I believe its one of this year’s must haves, so keep an eye on them while shopping. It has been rumored that Anna Wintour skipped Obama’s inauguration to just to be at the Christian Dior runway show. So as expected the runway show was spectacular, I think we have just found the garden of heaven and everyone is wearing Dior Couture. Here are my favorite pieces from the collection.

I love the bright colors used in this collection, it adds diversity to ones closet in the winter. I also loved the crocodile leather jacket. Here are my favorite pieces from the collection:
I loved the belts that were included in the collection, it visually gives the wearer a smaller waist. Furthermore, during the collection many shirts and suits and a geometrical design in it (the circle with the triangle in the middle), I may not be the biggest fan of this print or shape, but I enjoyed the collection as a whole. I enjoyed watching this Valentino runway show, I specially loved the leather stripe that they added to the coats. I also enjoyed the leather jackets, what I loved most about them is the clean cuts. Enjoy the collection!
