New York Fashion Week

As Fashion Week kicks off in New York and designers preview their collections I am sitting here in Amman with my cup of chamomile tea viewing all the collections. Meanwhile trying to finish a course introductory book that the university sent me before I leave for Milan.

Back to fashion….. So today many designers previewed and my favorite out of all of them are Robert Rodriguez, ZAC Zac Posen, and Red Valentino. Bellow you will find slideshows made of my favorite looks from each show.

Chopard – 66th Cannes Film Festival

Chopard’s celebrated the Cannes Film Festival by creating a collection of 66 one-of-a-kind pieces, one for each year of the festival’s history. Chopard’s co-President Caroline Scheufele said: “I very much wanted to pay tribute to the finest sentiments. The red carpet collection is sparkling with shimmering colours, including bright red accents like the fire of passion, as well as heart-shaped precious stones, one of my favourite cuts.” Below you will find some pieces from the collection, I couldn’t decide what from the collection is my most favorite piece.

My Video

As a studio art minor one of the classes that I chose to take was a multimedia arts class. As the semester comes to an end our projects are due soon. So yesterday I spent my entire day at the film lab at American University trying to create this video. I decided to collect shots and images from different designer advertisements, movies, and music videos to create the video. This video has parts from 2 Dior advertisements, an Elie Saab advertisement, a part from The Great Gatsby trailer, Wicked Games by The Weeknd, Pri-Madonna Girl by Marina and The Diamonds, and an advertisement for H&M. Your feedback is appreciated, so if there is anything wrong I could fix it before its due. I hope you like it!
