Jean Paul Gaultier – Spring 2013 Couture

I felt that his inspiration for this collection was based from Persian and Indian traditional clothing but somehow it was also mixed with modern designs. Take a look for yourself and tell me what you think about it. Here are my favorite pieces out of the collection:

Valentino – Spring 2013 Couture

Below you will find my favorite pieces from the collection, but by far what I love the most were the cape dresses, I also loved the pipping and detailing on the white dresses. I have mentioned yesterday about how capes are this season’s “it” piece, here is another designer that included capes in his collection, so keep an eye on them when shopping. Enjoy!

Zuhair Murad – Spring Couture 2013

I liked Zuhair Murad’s collection due to it’s limited pallet as well as the detailing on the dresses. We have recently seen many cloaks come down the runways, therefore, I believe its one of this year’s must haves, so keep an eye on them while shopping. Christian Dior – Couture Spring 2013

It has been rumored that Anna Wintour skipped Obama’s inauguration to just to be at the Christian Dior runway show. So as expected the runway show was spectacular, I think we have just found the garden of heaven and everyone is wearing Dior Couture. Here are my favorite pieces from the collection.

Pre-Fall 2013 – Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection was previewed. Watching the collection I couldn’t decide which looks were my favorite to show. I loved the play with the shoulder pads, but mostly I loved the coats!

Pre-Fall 2013 – Lanvin

Today many things happened the fashion world, some designers showed the women’s Pre-Fall collections, simultaneously Pitti Uomo started. Pitti Uomo are men’s fashion shows held in Florence from the 8th-11th of January. Today one of the fashion shows that stuck with me was the Lanvin show. I saw this Stella McCartney coat and its such a statement piece. The ability to change the look of the coat by either opening the coat or zipping it up adds so much to the appeal of the coat.

Statement Piece

I just received this in an email from Begrdorf Goodman I am just speechless, this creation is beautiful in every single way. I can just imagine a woman wearing this dress to a black tie gala while summering in Southern Italy, everyone spots her with the corner of their eyes, trying to go back to what they were doing. But there is one thing, they can’t! They watch her as she descends the stairs, waiting to see who her date is.
