So as you all may know, over this week designers have been showing their Pre-Fall collections. Yesterday Gucci previewed theirs, this collection reminded me so much of the fashion of the 20’s and 30’s. The belt used is throwing me off sometimes but I hope you like it as much as I did! Here are my favorite pieces.

Over the last week designers have started showcasing their 2013 Pre-Fall collections. Today I Carolina Herrera’s Pre-Fall collection and I am in love with it! I love the print on the gold and green pants and the flower prints on the blue dress. These are my favorite pieces from the collection, Enjoy!

The combination of the dress’s color, shape, and embroidery just makes your eye water from pure joy and happiness. (yes, this happens when I see a beautiful piece of clothing-I am crazy I know). This dress is part of Zuhair Murad’s Spring/Summer 2013 cruise collection and it will look great on anyone that would wear it. Also this color is a must have for next spring and summer 2013, we have seen it on many runways.
In a collaboration between Elie Saab and Baccarat both houses decided to bring Peau d’Âne to life. The dress created by Elie Saab will be placed in Baccarat’s flagship store in celebration for Christmas.
Peau d’Âne is a french fairytale that starts off by showing how happy a king and a queen are in their kingdom, the people love him while his enemies are frightened by him. One day the queen gets ill and o her death bed she asks the king to marry a woman “Promise me that if, when I am gone, you find a woman wiser and more beautiful than I, you will marry her and so provide an heir for throne.” The queen knew he would never find a wiser and more beautiful woman. After sometime has passed, the kings advisors suggest that the king should marry his daughter because she is the only one wiser and more beautiful than his wife. With the princess in horror she asks for outrageous things to be made in order to stop this wedding. The princess first asks for a dress which has the color of the sky, when it was delivered it had the most beautiful blue, the blue of heaven. The princess then asks for a dress the color of the moon,it was also beautifully made. Then trying to stop the marriage the princess further asks for a dress as bright and shining as the sun. This time the king summoned a wealthy jeweler and ordered him to make a cloth of gold and diamonds. Preparing to flee the kingdom, the princess asks for the final thing, the skin of the donkey at the royal stable. It was no regular donkey because it produced gold every morning instead of dung. The king trying to please his daughter orders to skin the donkey. In order not to be recognized when fleeing the kingdom, she wears the donkey’s skin and moves to another kingdom.
Yesterday as I was trying to finish up the shopping list that my family sent me, as I entered the Armani store. I saw this handbag and loved it. I have always liked the color grey on handbags, It’s not black that you can’t wear it with brown, and its not brown that you can’t wear it with black, grey allows you to wear it with both colors. I hope you like it!
Coming across the shell handbag and the see through shoes by Lanvin, I automatically realized how much of a show stopper they are. I hope you like them as much as I do!

If you are dreading the cold and can’t wait for the summer to come back around. Then you are definitely already shopping for summer clothing. Tibi has a pair of white shorts which are a must for spring/summer 2013. This is what I call a statement piece.

The best clothing articles are the ones that you can dress up or down whenever needed. I believe Lanvin mastered it with this dress. This dress may look more to the casual side but you can always style it the way you want. You can wear it with heels in order to attend a nice lunch or cocktail party or you can wear it with sandals or flats for a day around town.
As soon as I saw the dress I automatically imagined a woman walking into an event, she creates a buzz, knowing everyone she goes around greeting them. But her large Lady Dior handbag is always in the way.

There is something about architectural pieces that make me so happy. Take a look at this Roberto Cavalli dress, the ability for the dress to sit perfectly on ones body and give it an effect is what differentiates designers from mass clothing manufacturers. Moreover, when a designer creates an architectural piece it adds some form of power and edge to the person wearing the piece.

Remember Chanel’s Indian inspired runway show last year? If not please take a look at my previous post. This year the Chanel runway show took place in Scotland in the ruins of the Linlithgow Palace. I tried my best to find the video of the runway show but because this happened a few hours ago I couldn’t find anything except some media coverages. I will post the video on the blog as soon as I can find it. But for now we can settle for highlights of the collection. So please look at the photos below and just dream.
Ps. There is one photo below of a man with a child. I wish that is how I will be looking on a typical day 10 to 15 years down the line taking a stroll with my child. Enjoy it and just dream!

The same time last year Chanel created an extravagant runway show in Paris. The inspiration to this collection was Bombay, India. I have posted this video to show you how beautiful the setting and collections were. As this post will be the backdrop of the next post please make sure to read the post that is soon to come. Roger Vivier created a pair of shoes which I like to call ‘different’ I may not be a big fan. But I must admit they are a show stopper, I feel like it is something Sarah Jessica Parker would wear. Like any other article of clothing it should be worn correctly. Up until now I might have to see them in real life to be convinced, but I had to show them to you to help me decide if we like them or not.
I believe we always need to look at pieces from the past and look at their beauty. Jewelry for past royalty is one of the things that I love to see. Because they were the ones that stood to define elegance and grace. Moreover they were one of the few that had the money to buy the best of what the world had to offer. Today I want to look back at the Noor-Ol-Ain Tiara (It was named after the Noor-Ol-Ain pink diamond which is used in it- the pink diamond is one of the largest pink diamonds in the world). The tiara was given to The Empress Farah Pahlavi as a gift from her husband Shah Mohammed Reza on their wedding day. It was made and designed by Harry Winston.
I just saw this video yesterday and I just had to share it with you! It was uploaded two days ago and it tells the story of two women walking along the Seine River, to meet their waiting Riva. Morning turns to afternoon. Nightfall descends and they are off to take part in the vibrant Parisian nightlife.
The dresses and their detailing are just pure beautiful, it somehow puts you in this dreamy mood.
