Dubai – Part 2

I apologize for not being able to post in the last few days, I am back in Jordan and the posts will be back on track hopefully. Here is an update about what has happened in the last few days. Friends had arrived to Dubai on the 30th, that night we ended going to Roberto Cavalli’s club. That night was amazing it was with a great group of friends, Flo Rida was there partying in the club as well, and while we were there Michel Adam (owner and manager of FTV) gave the club a trophy symbolizing it as the best club in Dubai for the year 2012.

For New Year’s Eve my friend invited us on his boat. I personally couldn’t have asked for a better night, anyone that knows me knows how much I dislike the craziness of a club or a big party, I would rather have a calm night over a crazy one. New Year’s Eve was just amazing we got to see the fireworks that took place at Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, and Atlantis. I could not explain how good it was.

I am now in Jordan and I will be back in DC on the 12th. Happy New Years everyone! I wish you all the best in 2013! I hope it will be the best year to come for all of us!

Spotted In Dubai

My parents and I just saw this handbag on display in the window of the Bulgari store. My mom looking at it unknowingly slammed her nose into the window (now you know where I get my love for fashion from). We saw two versions of this handbag, this one and one in black. (I couldn’t find a picture of the black one online). I hope you like it as much as my mom did!

Spotted In Dubai

Walking into the Zanotti store yesterday, I fell in love with these pair of shoes. These pair of shoes are a statement whether its the color or the heel, both aspects make it different making it scream that it is a designer shoe.

Yesterday I went into the Dolce & Gabbana store and I saw these pair of shoes. I could just imagine them being worn with a velvet jacket, such a statement piece! I hope you like them as much as I do.

Dubai

Sorry I couldn’t post anything yesterday as I had just arrived to Dubai. Starting from yesterday I went to my favorite places to shop here. An hour after I arrived, I ended up going to Mall of The Emirates-I couldn’t ask for more- I ended up going to Harvey Nichols and Carolina Herrera. Window shopping ended soon after as I was invited over at my friends house for a Mexican fiesta.

Today we went to my favorite place here in Dubai, Dubai Mall! After arriving to the mall in ten minutes we randomly bumped into two of my cousins, their children, and aunt (yes this happens every day in the Arab world). After bumping into them I had to go to the worlds largest shoe store, Level! Would you seriously expect less from the world’s largest mall?!! I was amazed, it was a dream within a dream or actually heaven within heaven. I try to convince myself that heaven would look this way, that I would spend my day shopping not only that, I don’t have to pay for it!! ( if that’s not heaven I don’t know what is)

Everyday I am going to add a post that is called “Spotted In Dubai.” Which will show the things I saw and fell in love with while I am here on vacation.

Statement Pieces

There is nothing I love more than an unconventional pair of men’s trousers. Unconventional pants are my secret addiction, I may not be able to wear them everywhere and many people may not accept them. But they give the person who wears them an edge saying, I am not afraid to break boundaries specially when men’s clothing is very conventional. I just fell in love with these two pairs of trousers by Alexander McQueen.

Pre-Fall 2013 -Donna Karan

Donna Karan does what Donna Karan does best, she offers simplicity in her clothing with sharp lines and edges. This collection somehow reminds me of Armani’s design aesthetic as well due to the clean crisp lines. I hope you enjoy it, here are my favorite pieces from the collection.

Pre-Fall 2013 – Hervé Léger by Max Azria

I apologize for not posting yesterday, but I was flying from Washington DC to Jordan and I am off to Dubai in a few days as well. Therefore,I hope I will post some inspirations that I come across during the trips. Today’s post I would like to talk about the collection Max Azria previewed for the 2013 Fall. This collection has great prints and shows the beauty in a simple short dress. Enjoy!

To me Burberry comes to mind whenever a coat is mentioned, It is the brand that created an icon out of a trench coat.
