Daily Obsessions

Being in the holiday season everyone might be running around purchasing outfits for weddings that are taking place, New Years parties, and Christmas Eve parties as well. I always love outfits that are classic but will allow you to pop out in between everyone. If you are willing to be bold enough, I would go with this velvet tuxedo. Perfect for that New Years and Christmas party you are going to. It is classic, It is amazingly cut, and it pops out.

Elie Saab – Croisière à Paris

I  just saw this video yesterday and I just had to share it with you! It was uploaded two days ago and it tells the story of two women walking along the Seine River, to meet their waiting Riva. Morning turns to afternoon. Nightfall descends and they are off to take part in the vibrant Parisian nightlife.

The dresses and their detailing are just pure beautiful, it somehow puts you in this dreamy mood.

Cinderella By Louboutin

Over the past month we have seen many designers derive their inspirations from Disney princesses. The world’s top designers have created dresses for ever Disney princess (Click here to see the dresses). While Chopard created the jewelry for them (Click here to see the jewelry). Now that the princesses have the most beautiful dresses and jewelry in all the realm, all that they need is their shoes. So who better than Louboutin can create shoes for princesses?  Take a look!

Also watch how much detail goes into the making of these shoes.

So before reading this post scroll down to the post below for an explanation about these two posts. Nevertheless, I just came across this Chanel handbag, it’s part of Chanel’s Versailles cruise collection. To me this Chanel handbag is what Marie Antoinette would have worn if Chanel was her designer. I hope you like it as much as I did!

Daily Obsessions

So today I am going to have two posts in celebration of my 21st birthday. I know, I am getting old… It also manages to be the day where I have to take my graduation photos. It feels like I am in a new stage in my life, flipping the page and hopefully moving to something bigger and better. Thinking about the future I came to a conclusion, now that I am getting older I need to create a wardrobe wish list. This wish list should have sharper day to day outfits, and lucky me I just found the first thing I am going to put on this list. This Kenzo turquoise suit will be the first on my list, it may be an unconventional color, and it may look bad if worn incorrectly but I am ready to take on that challenge. I can imagine myself wearing this suit in the spring sitting in a café in Italy waiting for a fashion show to start. (I might be dreaming way too much, but I go with concept called “dream big”).

Daily Obsessions

Over a year ago Tod’s launched men’s driving shoes in pastel colors, at that time I fell in love with the idea because traditionally men wear leather shoes in black, brown and white therefore they were pushing the envelope. This year Tod’s launched driving shoes for men in neon colors, which are perfect for the summer they give a certain vibe to the outfit. Perfectly worn with blue or white pants cuffed above the ankles. A perfect outfit for long walks on the beach at sunset after a long day of tanning.

Daily Obsessions

A few days ago I came across a dress by Maison Martin Margiela, which I loved. It may look like a simple dress but it is actually a horizontal dress on top of the dress, the creativity behind it is pure genius. Still confused on how its made? Take a look at the pictures below they will help you visualize it. The pictures show two women who have worn it in different ways, which I think will make it clearer.

Today I couldn’t help myself but blog about these Alexander McQueen pumps. In the eyes of many theses pumps are classic, but that’s exactly why I like them. No matter how modern I am or try to be, I can’t help but fall back to classics. They are the basis of what we have today, it’s like saying we will not celebrate The Parthenon or The Colosseum because they are too old. We will always be marveled and struck by the beauty of old and classical objects and buildings, which we can use to help inspire us to move further into a more modern era. So I believe we should celebrate classical objects and lets start by loving these McQueen pumps.

Winter Tale – Cartier

I know I have been talking a lot about jewelry for the past few weeks but I can’t help myself admire and appreciate such exquisite pieces. A few days ago Cartier launched an ad campaign called “Winter Tale”, the story revolves around two panther cubs that take us on a journey through a snow covered land as they reveal pieces from Cartier’s collection. The film manages to take you to a different dimension and somehow allows you to dream. In the film the cubs will encounter pieces from both women’s and men’s collections.

I came across this Ferragamo coat today, and I couldn’t help but realize how much of an anticipation a coat can create. Imagine a woman walking into a room with a beautiful coat on, wouldn’t you be eagerly waiting to see what she would be wearing underneath? I know I would be!

Inspirations

The other day we ended up in downtown Dallas and we had to go visit the Neiman Marcus store – It is the world’s first Neiman Marcus store- As soon as we walked in we saw this Christmas tree and I couldn’t help but be inspired by the colors and the different materials used. This is a closeup to the tree. I hope you like it as much as I did!

Must Have

Brioni, Brioni, oh Brioni can this tuxedo be any more perfect? I think not! This tuxedo is the result of a venture between Brioni and Mr. Porter. Their approach and inspiration to create this tuxedo came from this quote “Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough.” –  Sir Henry Royce (co-founder of Rolls-Royce). I can just imagine the perfect scenario to wear this tuxedo. Imagine yourself at a private event; standing underneath the shadow of a The Eiffel Tower, Or The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Or in a Medieval castle. Scanning your surroundings and just taking in all the beauty of the venue, the event, the people, and the outfits. Then, you just say to yourself “La Dolce Vita!”

Dear Dior

Dear Dior is the name of this season’s line of Haute Joaillerie. The inspiration of this collection came from lace and oriental jewelry. Take a look at my favorite pieces, all of the below pictures are rings except for one pair of earrings. Enjoy!

Statement Piece

I was at the mall yesterday and I stepped into the Gucci store and my eye caught this beautiful handbag. I could not help but notice it’s reference to a doctor’s bag. The Bamboo Top Handle bag is classic, sharp, and a statement piece!
