Milan Fashion Week

The second day in Milan and MaxMara and Prada showed their collections today! The Prada collection was inspired by Japanese or Chinese clothing. On the other hand MaxMara showed a collection that I believe was inspired by means clothing and jackets, you could see many jacket lapels incorporated in the design! Take a look at tell me what you think! Here are my favorite pieces!

I believe the MaxMara outfit can turn from day to night so easily! Meaning its comfortable and great looking! While the Prada dress I believe will be mainly worn to a calm night out to a nice restaurant!

Statement piece

In my previous post I spoke about Gucci’s Spring 2013 women’s collection. Well now its the men’s turn! Wanted to pull of printed pants? These are the best example! Previewed by Gucci in the men’s 2013 Spring collection- I could just imagine the perfect scenario to wear them in! Imagine yourself on a boat or walking the docks en route to dinner on a beautiful summer night, overlooking the ocean/sea after a day of swimming and tanning, I would want to be wearing theses pants! They are comfortable, great looking, and a statement what more can a person ask for? Definitely a 2013 must have!

Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week has arrived and is getting all the goodies with it!!! So a few hours ago the Gucci models walked down the runway. Gucci in this collection used pastel color pallets but added a hint of brightness to it. This collection includes endless amounts of ruffles! Take a look at the pieces out of the collection that I loved.

Statement Piece

So what more does a woman need other than statement jewelry? And if you were looking for a statement piece of jewelry look no more!! No one can do chic like Chanel does. The Chanel “metal bib necklace embellished with flowers” is a timeless piece with such sophistication that it can turn heads when worn decades down the line!

In the picture the necklace may have been over styled due to runway or photo shoot purposes so please disregard the surrounding embellishments!

Favorite Pieces

It has been a while that I have been looking for the ultimate shoes that could be worn for an upbeat dinner party or a night out in town. Somewhere were you really want to stand out but in a subtle way, well this is how I would do it! With my obsession with shoes! Well here are two options a Giuseppe Zanotti and a Christian Louboutin. I would take the Zanotti any day! But I believe the Louboutin can be worn more easily therefore, it can be worn more. But the Zanotti shoes are a statement!!

Statement Piece

SO today my favorite piece of the day is the come back of the double breasted suit! The 80’s and 90’s double breasted suit I believe where unflattering but now that it accents your body and form it adds a certain umph like never before. Also the cuffing of the pants have made a comeback (but shorter of course!!!) ! Now that men shoes are becoming more and more statements, it tends to show the shoes and give a certain look! And you know what people say! “suits to women are like lingerie to men” so grab an amazing suit! I personally cant wait till I fill my wardrobe with suits to go to work with every day !!

Statement Piece

So a statement piece that I have had my eye on for over a year is this Louis Vuitton coat! Take a look!! This coat looks so warm and cozy at the same time its a coat that would turn heads around! The collar is my favorite part of the coat! This coat can come in many colors and look great!!

Statement Pieces

So today I decided to write about a different thing! The past few days I have blogged about the pieces that I loved from some of the fashion shows, but today I am going to switch to mens clothing. I will not discuss resent fashion shows but I will show you a few pieces that I would love to add to my closet or wish I could pull off!

Lets start with this red Brioni summer suit! I know the color may be hard to pull off! But imagine yourself in a cafe in Europe in broad daylight sipping on your perfectly brewed cup of coffee looking at the people passing by. I would be want to be wearing that suit when that happens, looking effortlessly chic with the color and standing out of the crowd but at the same time being subtle. A must have- I may say!

Rodarte

Ok so before I began talking about my favorite pieces in the Rodarte show, let me justify my fascination with the Light Cadmium Red color that I have been talking about endlessly for the past few days. I am an Art minor and somehow unconsciously I integrate this color in all my paintings. Every single one of them has this color incorporated into it. So I hope that explains my fascination with that color.

So lets go back to track The Rodarte show. So lets give some background information about Rodarte, the brand which was started in 2005 is run by two sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. (Random fact, the helped in designing some of the costumes in the movie The Black Swan). What are my favorite pieces from the show?

Marc Jacobs Show

So I did not get to see the Marc Jacobs show last night, but this morning I got to see it! The tribute he paid to the 60’s was quite stunning! The color pallet may not have many fluorescent colors- BUT AGAIN THE RED! and the lines of course!!    My favorite piece of all?

New York Fashion Week part 2

What a day!! If there is a standing ovation today I believe it should be given to Carolina Herrera! She also proves exactly what the color of the season is going to be  Light Cadmium Red. The runway show is in every way breathtaking the red lace and the cuts are breathtaking! Take a look at these photos. ImageTaken by Fillippo Flor/Gorunway.com

The bottom dress is the definition of effortlessly chic. The see through material creates such movement that adds to the effect of the dress!

New York Fashion Week

I am officially addicted to Instagram and Twitter. Following all the designers, bloggers, and stylists every move and specially photos. Well here is my idea of whats going to be in so far: (shhh don’t tell them I am giving you this information)

I am actually ecstatic that this Spring collection still carries those vibrant colors. But instead of the color pallet being neon they are heading more towards the pastel shades. Light Cadmium Red I believe will be the winning and most prominent color of the season. What a color!! I believe its the perfect transition from the bordeaux color-thats turning heads this year.

Lets talk shoes, I see straps have made their come back! Whether it is strappy heels or a simple strap on the ankle, its in this season. I also see a heavier push towards closed shoes and even knee high gladiator shoes in this Spring collection. Also go crazy with your shoe colors this season!!

Don’t forget to follow the fashion shows!! My favorite so far are Victoria Beckham, Diane von Fürstenberg, and Zac Posen.
