Milan Fashion Week / Blumarine

Blumarine’s collection did not have many bright colors. But in this collection all I could see was the simplicity of the clothing and how it was translated- (The beauty is in the clothing’s simplicity bright colors would have ruined it). I could clearly see what type of customer Blumarine is targeting and the scenarios they imagine their customer to be in. For example from the pictures that I have chosen I definitely see a woman in her thirties spending her summer vacation next to the beach with upscale lunches, dinners, and events to attend every.

Milan Fashion Week/ Etro

The Etro collection was just previewed in Milan, and all I could think about is how good Etro can use prints and incorporate them so easily into their designs. The more I see this year from the runways the more I realize that men and women’s fashion are somehow switching objectives. Women’s clothing is becoming more loose and easily to maneuver in (to attend to the demands of working women), While men’s fashion now tends now to be fitter. Take a look at Etro’s collection and tell me what you think? Here are my favorite pieces.

Milan Fashion Week

The second day in Milan and MaxMara and Prada showed their collections today! The Prada collection was inspired by Japanese or Chinese clothing. On the other hand MaxMara showed a collection that I believe was inspired by means clothing and jackets, you could see many jacket lapels incorporated in the design! Take a look at tell me what you think! Here are my favorite pieces!

I believe the MaxMara outfit can turn from day to night so easily! Meaning its comfortable and great looking! While the Prada dress I believe will be mainly worn to a calm night out to a nice restaurant!

Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week has arrived and is getting all the goodies with it!!! So a few hours ago the Gucci models walked down the runway. Gucci in this collection used pastel color pallets but added a hint of brightness to it. This collection includes endless amounts of ruffles! Take a look at the pieces out of the collection that I loved.

Statement Piece

So what more does a woman need other than statement jewelry? And if you were looking for a statement piece of jewelry look no more!! No one can do chic like Chanel does. The Chanel “metal bib necklace embellished with flowers” is a timeless piece with such sophistication that it can turn heads when worn decades down the line!

In the picture the necklace may have been over styled due to runway or photo shoot purposes so please disregard the surrounding embellishments!

Rodarte

Ok so before I began talking about my favorite pieces in the Rodarte show, let me justify my fascination with the Light Cadmium Red color that I have been talking about endlessly for the past few days. I am an Art minor and somehow unconsciously I integrate this color in all my paintings. Every single one of them has this color incorporated into it. So I hope that explains my fascination with that color.

So lets go back to track The Rodarte show. So lets give some background information about Rodarte, the brand which was started in 2005 is run by two sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. (Random fact, the helped in designing some of the costumes in the movie The Black Swan). What are my favorite pieces from the show?

Marc Jacobs Show

So I did not get to see the Marc Jacobs show last night, but this morning I got to see it! The tribute he paid to the 60’s was quite stunning! The color pallet may not have many fluorescent colors- BUT AGAIN THE RED! and the lines of course!!    My favorite piece of all?

New York Fashion Week part 2

What a day!! If there is a standing ovation today I believe it should be given to Carolina Herrera! She also proves exactly what the color of the season is going to be  Light Cadmium Red. The runway show is in every way breathtaking the red lace and the cuts are breathtaking! Take a look at these photos. ImageTaken by Fillippo Flor/Gorunway.com

The bottom dress is the definition of effortlessly chic. The see through material creates such movement that adds to the effect of the dress!

New York Fashion Week

I am officially addicted to Instagram and Twitter. Following all the designers, bloggers, and stylists every move and specially photos. Well here is my idea of whats going to be in so far: (shhh don’t tell them I am giving you this information)

I am actually ecstatic that this Spring collection still carries those vibrant colors. But instead of the color pallet being neon they are heading more towards the pastel shades. Light Cadmium Red I believe will be the winning and most prominent color of the season. What a color!! I believe its the perfect transition from the bordeaux color-thats turning heads this year.

Lets talk shoes, I see straps have made their come back! Whether it is strappy heels or a simple strap on the ankle, its in this season. I also see a heavier push towards closed shoes and even knee high gladiator shoes in this Spring collection. Also go crazy with your shoe colors this season!!

Don’t forget to follow the fashion shows!! My favorite so far are Victoria Beckham, Diane von Fürstenberg, and Zac Posen.
